My college roommate is a nurse at a hospital in NY state and was in desperate need of fabric face masks during the pandemic. I started sewing face masks and donated them to her and to those in need. As more and more people are required to wear face masks, I saw this as an opportunity to create groovy face masks for everyone. My experience includes teaching fashion merchandising and sewing as well as designing purses at my SassyBB boutique. Currently, I am an online marketing professor and stand-up comedian. When the crisis hit, I was excited to revive my sewing skills to help people feel comfortable in the "new normal". I continue to donate face masks to essential workers including those working at grocery stores, post offices, UPS drivers, City of Fort Lauderdale workers, doctors and nurses.

There are many ways to wash your masks. Remember it is 100% cotton. Machine wash or hand wash with laundry soap and water. Air dry or tumble dry low. Avoid hot water and a hot dryer or the mask may shrink. After the masks are washed and dried, you may go over it with a hot iron. Please understand that our face masks are not a replacement for medical grade Personal Protective Equipment.
